A solid design background and familiarity with advanced graphic programs, allows me to offer a level of precision and sophistication in my web work that is not commonly available. I am able to work within the HTML format to create web pages which more closely emulate design styles traditionally used on the printed page.
I have been responsible for the design and upkeep of sites as simple as one-page, billboard-style displays, River Island Homes, to complex, multi-level sites, such as my site for Maritime Homes and Development, Inc.
The development large and complex sites necessitates an understanding of multi-level inter connectivity between pages; the creation and illustration of backgrounds, buttons, art and web maps which function consistently across most browsers and platforms; the use of visual clues; and the application of a single stylistic format to provide a unified look with which a firm can identify. Because of my understanding of the flow of information with a web site, I can often suggest links and page possibilities that broaden the use a visitor can make of a site.
When all-out page/site development is not necessary, I can create a framework, leaving areas open to be filled in later by the client interested in maintaining his or her own site, see George Lithograph Company.
